A Featured online book stores ArticleE-books in your life
E-Books are making a big impact in the way we read, write and use books. There is nothing holding back an expert with years of experience on a particular field to write about all the ins and outs, trade secrets, strengths and weaknesses of the industry.
Consider Colm Dillon, the author of "Unique Real Estate Development Method!" (http://business.marc8.com/ebook-info.php/name/unique_real_estate_development_method/toc_id/6-0-2-8/). He has 30 years and $1.2 Billion worth of professional real estate development experience. Dillon wrote his book purely from experience and practical usage. His eBook is now selling in 63 countries and directly available on the Internet.
More and more shoppers are now buying books online. If you purchase a physical book that you have been dying to get your hands on you still have to wait for shipping and delivery before you can start reading. With E-Books you get instant delivery 24x7. No more waiting and watching the clock. While the inspiration and interest is hot, you get to download your favorite business book and start reading away.
Imagine, discovering an E-Book called Business Plans (http://business.marc8.com/ebook-info.php/name/business_plans/toc_id/1-0-1-6/) at 11.30 pm, decided to buy and download the book at 12.05 am, finished reading it by 2.00 am. The 10 oclock meeting next morning, and you are already a guru on Business Plans and opportunities to lead you company to new frontiers.
And that E-Book is very easy to share with your spouse or friend, just email it. The E-book will never wear out for millions of years to come. Hundreds of thousands of E-Books can be carried in the palm of your hand no matter where you go in a flash-drive or portable disk.
E-Books are the new media for traditional physical books, but are E-Books here to stay? Consider Joe Vitale, author of numerous successful E-Books and more recently famous for "Attractor Factor" (http://business.marc8.com/book-info.php/name/the_attractor_factor_5_easy_steps_for_creating_wealth_or/toc_id/1-0-2-1/) which has already outsold Harry Potter as 1 bestseller twice in two weeks. E-books are carving the path for many talented authors around the world. E-books are not only here to stay but also becoming very popular.

Customer Review: Act 2007 works FAST and FINE with right system.
I ordered ACT 2007 (got a great price on 2007 vs 2008. Shop around). After buying, I read all the negative reviews and figured I was in the deep stuff. However, I found quite the opposite.
As a background - I converted 6500 contacts from Goldmine using conversion software. I left GM because it is not supported any longer and was getting a little paranoid about the consequences of major problems.
Of course there were some duplications and minor errors in the conversion but nothing major. There is also a learning curve for a new user and some quirks as with any program. However, the format is much, much more user friendly for a smaller company (4 users) than is GM.
The major concern to others seems to be speed. Not for us. We are on a peer to peer XP network. We keep one machine dedicated to data storage with no users on it. We did update to all new Dell Vostro and Optiplex machines with 2.0 GHZ or better and a minimum of 1 GB RAM, 80 GB drives. The response from the ACT program is instantaneous. I do not know if the speed problems everyone is complaining about is a function of old slow equipment, converting from prior versions, slow network, or what. Our ACT is fast.
Now I have to admit the manual is crap (aren't they all?). For the first time in 20 years I subscribed to a support contract. I suspected that it would be a lot cheaper with a new and fairly complicated program than beating my head against the wall trying to figure out those little quirks. I was right. I have already recouped the $200 cost with a couple of phone calls. The quality and courtesy surprised me. The contract covers 13 months for less than the price of one license at retail. And as a bonus, you get to talk to real live Americans who actually know something about the program. (Listen up HP. I don't want to talk to India). I also bough ACT for Dummies. Very useful book so far.
I wonder if anyone doing exactly the same as we did has the same concerns about speed as some of the other reviewers. I gave 5 it stars so people would see that the program is not the junk others are calling it. However because of the manual it really should be 4.5 stars.
Customer Review: Avoid a heart attack, just don't buy it.
Buying Sage Act! 2007 is one of the most stupid things I did on my career.
It simply doesn't work.
And if you want to contact the company for help, you have to pay $200+ for a customer service plan.
The email function it has collapsed 2 times in about 6 months, making me lose tons of valuable information and time.
Sage simply steal my money.
Avoid frustrations like mine and other thousand of users, just get another solution from another company.

Customer Review: Sounds like a bad night on American Idol
I've bought several of Celine's albums but I was disappointed with this one. It really lacks the enthusiasm of the others. The remake of Heart's alone will have you wanting to take out Celine and put the real thing in...it just doesn't work. The other songs were dull and forgettable.
If you are a fan of a new day has come, this is very different, and you will likely be disappointed, and may enjoy some of her older albums over this one.
Customer Review: for Celine fans only
enjoy Celine's voice but this cd was disappointing. luv the title song "Taking Chances" ~ one of her best. was hoping the rest of the songs would be just as good. sadly, not so. read where she was trying for a 'new'sound. well, she accomplished THAT. too bad it wasn't a good sound. die-hard fans will like this, I'm sure. me? not so much.

So what is your verdict on e books after reading so much about e books? Do you feel that the matter given here is sufficient to make a verdict?
A e books Artilce for Your ViewingAuthors of Books should Write their own Book Reviews and Let Me Tell You Why
Obviously it is not common or considered in good taste for an author to write their own book reviews. Yet, I am going on the record in defending those authors who choose to or wish to write their own Book Reviews. This is not personal at all and indeed, I actually agree with the Online Article Submission Sites on the Internet and even Amazon.com which does not allow authors to write their own book reviews.
The reason I agree is not because I think it is fair for the author, it is not; rather because I like you realize that due to social norms that is the way things are done and that would be hard to change. Of course this is not to say that there are not instances when it makes sense for an author to write their own book reviews. In fact, who better to write a book review than the author? The writer wrote every word and knows what he or she meant.
Consider the many book reviews out there written by those who did not even read the whole book. Many have accused the NYT of this in their book reviews, I actually agree that most of those book reviews the writer of the review never did read the entire book, they do not have time. Go onto the Amazon.com website and read the book reviews. You?ll say to yourself; that person obviously did not read the book, what planet are they living on.
Authors of Books should write their own Book Reviews and I am glad to be the one to Tell You Why. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.

Customer Review: Works as advertised
I know many people have commented about problems on this product. I had none of the issues many have described.
I use my MacBook Pro ALL day. I haven't seen any heat problems, not edge abrasiveness nor any issues putting it on.
It makes my Mac look pretty cool and its easily distinguished.
I was even able to wipe off all the finger prints on the casing with the palm of my hand. Pretty cool, I'd say.
Just a note, when you put the bottom on, I would recommend putting the rear part of the laptop in first and then the front. There are some hooks that go on easier that way.
Other than that, it's a great product and I'm glad I purchased it.

Customer Review: Edith Piaf
I enjoyed the CD. Quality was great although the CD cover was somewhat scratched upon receipt.
Customer Review: Love This CD
After seeing La Vie en Rose, I checked the various Edith Piaf CD's available and decided on this one. I absolutely love it and have actually purchased two more as gifts. Next I got the CD of live concerts at the Olympia. Piaf's voice is just unbelievable, filled with such emotion. I will never tire of listening.

Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1)
Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1)
"Softly he brushed my cheek, then held my face between his marble hands. 'Be very still,' he whispered, as if I wasn't already frozen. Slowly, never moving his eyes from mine, he leaned toward me. Then abruptly, but very gently, he rested his cold cheek against the hollow at the base of my throat." As Shakespeare knew, love burns high when thwarted by obstacles. In Twilight, an exquisite fantasy by Stephenie Meyer, readers discover a pair of lovers who are supremely star-crossed. Bella adores beautiful Edward, and he returns her love. But Edward is having a hard time controlling the blood lust she arouses in him, because--he's a vampire. At any moment, the intensity of their passion could drive him to kill her, and he agonizes over the danger. But, Bella would rather be dead than part from Edward, so she risks her life to stay near him, and the novel burns with the erotic tension of their dangerous and necessarily chaste relationship.Meyer has achieved quite a feat by making this scenario completely human and believable. She begins with a familiar YA premise (the new kid in school), and lulls us into thinking this will be just another realistic young adult novel. Bella has come to the small town of Forks on the gloomy Olympic Peninsula to be with her father. At school, she wonders about a group of five remarkably beautiful teens, who sit together in the cafeteria but never eat. As she grows to know, and then love, Edward, she learns their secret. They are all rescued vampires, part of a family headed by saintly Carlisle, who has inspired them to renounce human prey. For Edward's sake they welcome Bella, but when a roving group of tracker vampires fixates on her, the family is drawn into a desperate pursuit to protect the fragile human in their midst. The precision and delicacy of Meyer's writing lifts this wonderful novel beyond the limitations of the horror genre to a place among the best of YA fiction.(Ages 12 and up) --Patty Campbell 10 Second Interview: A Few Words with Stephenie Meyer Q: Were you a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Angel? What are you watching now that those shows are off the air? A: I have never seen an entire episode of Buffy or Angel. While I was writing Twilight, I let my older sister read along chapter by chapter. She's a huge Buffy fan and she kept trying to get me to watch, but I was afraid it would mess up my vision of the vampire world so I never did. I don't have a ton of time for TV, and my kids get rowdy when I have on "mommy shows," but I do have a secret fondness for reality shows (the good ones, at least in my opinion). I always TiVo Survivor, The Amazing Race, and America's Next Top Model. Q: What inspired you to write Twilight? Is this the beginning of a series? Why write for teens? A: Twilight was inspired by a very vivid dream, which is fairly faithfully transcribed as chapter thirteen of the book. There are sequels on the way--I'm hard at work editing book two (tentatively titled New Moon) right now, and book three is waiting in line for its turn. I didn't mean to write for teens--I didn't mean to write for anyone but myself, so I had an audience of one twenty-nine year old (and later one thirty-one year old when my sister started reading). I think the reason that I ended up with a book for teens is because high school is such a compelling time period--it gives you some of your worst scars and some of your most exhilarating memories. It's a fascinating place: old enough to feel truly adult, old enough to make decisions that affect the rest of your life, old enough to fall in love, yet, at the same time too young (in most cases) to be free to make a lot of those decisions without someone else's approval. There's a lot of scope for a novel in that. Q: What is your favorite vampire story? Fave vampire movie? A: I guess my favorite vampire story would be The Vampire Lestat, by Anne Rice, simply because it's one of the only ones I've ever read. I keep meaning to pick up Bram Stoker's Dracula, because I get asked this question so often and I should probably start with the classics, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Again, I'm afraid to read other vampire books now, for fear of finding things either too similar, or too different from my own vampire world. Ack! I can't even answer the movie question. I can't remember ever seeing a single vampire movie, outside of clips from Bela Lugosi movies on TV. I don't like true horror movies--my favorite scary movies are all Hitchcock's. Q: What other young adult authors do you read? A: My favorite young adult author is L.M. Montgomery I also enjoyJ.K. Rowling (but who doesn't?), and Ann Brashares. As a teen, I skipped straight to adult books (lots of sci-fi and Jane Austen), so I'm rediscovering the world of teen literature now. Stephenie Meyer's List of Books You Should Read Anne of Green GablesRomeo and JulietDragonflightTo Kill a Mockingbird The Princess BrideSee more recommendations from Stephenie Meyer Amazon.com's Significant SevenStephenie Meyer graciously agreed to answer the questions we like to ask every author: the Amazon.com Significant Seven. Q: What book has had the most significant impact on your life?A: The book with the most significant impact on my life is The Book of Mormon. The book with the most significant impact on my life as a writer is probably Speaker for the Dead, by Orson Scott Card, with Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier coming in as a close second.Q: You are stranded on a desert island with only one book, one CD, and one DVD--what are they?A: The CD is easy: Absolution by Muse, hands down. It's harder to give myself just one movie, but the one I watch most frequently is Sense and Sensibility--the one with the screenplay by Emma Thompson. One book is impossible. I'd have to have Pride and Prejudice, but I couldn't live without something by Orson Scott Card and a nice, thick Maeve Binchy, too.Q: What is the worst lie you've ever told?A: My lies are all very, very boring: "No, you really look great in hot pink!" "My children only watch one hour of TV a day." "I didn't eat the last Swiss Cake Roll--it must have been one of the kids." That's the best I've got.Q: Describe the perfect writing environment.A: It's late at night and the house is silent, but I'm still (miraculously) full of energy. I have my headphones in and I'm listened to a mix of Muse, Coldplay, Travis, My Chemical Romance, and The All-American Rejects. Beside me is a fabulous, and yet mysteriously low in calorie, cheesecake....Q: If you could write your own epitaph, what would it say?A: I'd like it to say that I really tried at the important things.I was never perfect at any of them, but I honestly tried to be a great mom, a loving wife, a good daughter, and a true friend. Under that, I'd want a list of my favorite Simpsons quotes.Q: Who is the one person living or dead that you would like to have dinner with?A: I'd love to have a chance to talk to Orson Scott Card--I have a million questions for him. Mostly things like, "How do you come up with this stuff?!" But, if he wasn't available, I'd settle for Matthew Bellamy (lead singer of Muse).Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be?A: I'd want something offensive, rather than defensive. Like shooting fireballs from my hands. That way, you're really open to going either way--hero or villain. I like to have choices.
Customer Review: Only one issue with this book
This series is well written and entertaining...great for teens. I can't wait for the next installment. The one issue is that the lead female is suicidal when her boyfriend leaves. I think that's a terrible message for vulnerable teens.
Customer Review: Gripping story
This first book was wonderful I could not put it down in fact I finished all three of the Twilight Series in a week! The story that comes to life with Bella and Edward is gripping and amazing. One thing I wished is there was a bit more on the prom it jumped from one scene to the next. Despite that I would recommend this series to everyone and I cannot waite until the 4th book comes out "Breaking Dawn"!

Customer Review: Great paint job, sturdy, quality wood-I was impressed.
My husband and I are impressed with this purchase. The wood is hard and sturdy and the paint job is flawless. It put together easily and is very cute. We are very happy with the price vs the quality we got.
Customer Review: Great Craftsmanship!
I purchased the Primary Color Puzzle shelf for my son's room to house small toys and books and LOVED it so much that I ordered a 2nd one. It comes unassembled but requires a minimal amount of effort and time to put it together. I was very suprised at how sturdy it actually is and it is designed in such a way that the pieces actually lock together when you assemble it. There is no possibility of it coming apart if a child attempted to climb on it. The colors are very vibrant and it is so well made that it could potentially last many years. I would highly recommend the Puzzle Book Shelf for any child's room. You won't be disappointed!

Customer Review: Making a proper mai tai
I make it a point of ordering mai tais anywhere I go and after learning how to make a proper mai tai from Jeff Berry's Grog Log, I am usually disappointed and have had some really bad ones except Trader Vic's original Mai Tai(You have to ask for the original).
Heres a tip. Buy this set of books, make your drinks and put your local hangouts drinks to shame by challenging them to a Mai Tai Throwdown like I have.
Thanks Jeff for bringing back the lost art of tropical drinks.

Customer Review: EXCEPTONAL
I found this product to be exceptionally useful. The whole purpose of the purchase was because my 7yr old daughter carries a lot of books to school. Without a trolley bag, that is not only spacious but manageable, she would have encountered severe back problems in years to come. I thank god that I took the time to research this product in its entirety before I actually purchased. I even ordered another just about 2mths after my initial purchase for her classmate. This product is by no means second to none.
Customer Review: Overpriced, Poor Quality
I bought this backpack for my 10 year son and gave it to him at Christmas 2007 - He used it from January until February 22, 2008 - The bottom has been completely shredded. He told me that it kept tipping over and he had to drag it. He could not pull it on the wheels. It is a waste of money. This product is not made to be used by children who have to haul alot of books home on a daily basis. Do not waste your money on this one!

Customer Review: I am very pleased with this smooth and enormous storage drive
I bought this item on AMAZON March'08 to upgrade my laptop from 120 GB to this massive 320 GB. Assembly was a piece of cake. The drive has been running smoothly and does not make any noise whatsoever. I am happy that I could get rid of my older TOSHIBA HD that had been making lots of spindle noise lately. Now, I can store all my favorite music numbers and movies on my HD and watch/listen to them on the GO. I'll use my old TOSHIBA drive as an external drive for sometime as I just bought an enclosure on AMAZON for 25 bucks.
Customer Review: Great product
Its a great hard disk which is extremely silent. The delivery was timely and the drive was appropriately packaged. I've installed it in my Lenovo Laptop and its highly recommended for upgrading your laptop.

The Best publishing books Articles on WineA Little Piece Of History Of Books And Literature On Web Authoring
I guess you are all wondering, why start with the history of Books and literature on web authoring, to most of you it might sound pretty boring, like 'blah blah blah' most importantly this gives us an insight into how far the world wide web has come from its inception. This is a handy part to know for a budding web authors.
Web Authoring, also known widely as web design is the know how to build a doorstep to you from the world vastly unlimited space of the world wide web. From the inception of the world wide web hypertext concept by Tim Berners-Lee, to the public arena commercially in 1996, along side with the Webby Awards (an award for the recognition of the best websites) in 1995, has drawn great interests in creating a piece of virtual paradise. Over the years there has been many books and other literature, written on how to build websites, turning what looks like a plain screen into to the beautiful sites such as Microsoft and Apple Computers.
As the world wide web grew, many problems and challenges were faced, the first being the amount of browsing software, secondly the differing formats. A browser is like the visual tool to view the pages published on the world wide web. The browser in itself like different cars, they handle and operate differently firstly because of their internal engines, and it's visual interface, this is noticeable if you have experimented with Mozilla Firefox (using Netscape open source Mozilla Engine), and the Internet Explorer series of browsers. As such, this affects the way in which the website is coded, to accommodate for the differences in handling.
The secondary issue is that there are many different formats in which that can be coded, such as .html, .asp, .php. This has come about because of the number of different core operating systems available in the industry such as Windows Server, UNIX, and LINIX. Due to this complexity, there has been numerous Books and Literature on Web Authoring based in each of the coding format. Despite the differences and the complexities of all the above, there are key basics which are adhered to in Web Authoring, and as such most Books and Literature on Web Authoring cover these key aspects.

Peanuts: Easter Beagle Charlie Brown
Peanuts: Easter Beagle Charlie Brown
The thirteenth installment in the evergreen Charlie Brown animated series, It's The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown, is a delightful romp through the rites of spring. The running gag that holds this string of episodic misadventures together is Peppermint Patty's futile attempts at explaining how to make Easter eggs to Marcy. Highlights of this rather surreal Peanuts outing include Snoopy's dancing with little bunny rabbits inside a kaleidoscope, Sally heading to the mall to purchase a pair of platform shoes (this video was made in 1974), and Woodstock's lavishly equipped bachelor-pad birdhouse. As with the best of the Peanuts cartoons, this will entertain children and adults alike, and is one of the last of the series to feature a music score by Vince Guaraldi. --Kristian St. Clair
Customer Review: Comes with Bonus TV Special
This classic story is as cute as ever on DVD and it comes with a bonus special...It's Arbor Day Charlie Brown...which is also really cute and perfect to watch in the spring. Buy and enjoy!
Customer Review: An Fulfilling Easter Treat
In IT'S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN, Sally longs for a new pair of shoes to wear on Easter Sunday, Peppermint Patty attempts to teach Marcy how to die Easter eggs, Snoopy buys Woodstock a new birdhouse, and Linus tries to convince everyone that they should ignore the apparent hustle and bustle of preparing for Easter and stop worrying because the Easter Beagle will take care of everything. Linus' story reminds Sally of the Great Pumpkin just a little too much, but she wants to believe her Sweet Baboo. Complete with a familiar, though this time subtle anti-consumerism message and an unintentional allegory about faith, IT'S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN is a spring-time treat that families can enjoy watching together.
This remastered deluxe version of IT'S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN also includes a second television special, a special featurette, and a few trailers. The second Peanuts episode on the disc is IT'S ARBOR DAY, CHARLIE BROWN. Sally is given a school assignment to research Arbor Day. Her quest leads her to wanting to plant trees, flowers, and a garden. Lucy, Linus, and a few others join her and start growing a bunch of plants on Charlie Brown's baseball field. Charlie Brown is shocked when the season opener against Peppermint Patty's team rolls around and he finds his field has been turned into a garden. But, the game goes on and surprisingly Charlie Brown's gets a winning run and leads the game.
The featurette on the DVD is "In Full Bloom: Peanuts at Easter" offers an inside look at the creation of IT'S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN. The featurette explores how the special came to me, Schulz's intentions in the making of the cartoon, what people take away from watching it, etc.
A must-have for Peanuts fans as well as a good Easter video that entire families can watch together.
Little Einstein's Pat Pat Rocket
Little Einstein's Pat Pat Rocket
Customer Review: Go Rocket!
We bought our daughter a room full of toys for Christmas. After opening all her gifts she would have been happy with just this one, she loves it! Only down fall for mom and dad is the speaker is LOUD! Other than that it is really cool. Its a litle two heavy for a two year old to use the handle that retracts from the bottom but she just carries it with two hands and has a blast! If your kids love Little Einsteins dont hesitate to buy this, if they dont watch Little Einsteins they should be!
Customer Review: One of the better Einstein toys
There's not really a lot out there when it comes to Little Einsteins, making it a tough call for toys to buy my obsessed son. Rocket is a great toy though. It is fairly large, but easy to hold and fly for a three year old (mine is two and needs help). It has a LOT of sayings, including each time you place a figure in their corresponding seat. The fins are a hard rubber type, as well as the dongle, making the fear of snapping them off or stabbing someone very minimal. The handle for flying is retractable. Rocket lights up, and makes great noises that so far have not annoyed me. My son loves it, and is easily one of his favorites. My gripe is that it doesn't have many accessories, and other parts come in the playsets (which seem very boring). It also isn't even remotely educational like the show. It is purely for fun. Now come on Disney, license some more Einstein products, that encompass the show more!

I was looking for music for an island theme party. The selection looked fun -- a lot of recognizable summer party songs with the steel drum flair. But then I bought it and actually listened to it. The steel drum parts are really good; however, the synthesized accompaniment is over powering and really cheesy (it sounds like it should be on Barney). Please, save your money and look elsewhere.

A Featured diet book ArticlePublishing Formats for Digital Books
While traditionally printed books and literature materials still have the greater market in terms of popularity and market share, publishing e-Books continue to experience growth and technological advancements that make it clear that this medium of virtual publishing is here to stay and perhaps will gain more strength in the future.
For one thing, publishing e-Books over traditionally printed material has a smaller ecological impact because it does not entail the cutting down of trees. As this civilization continues to progress technologically, and while our natural resources continue to dwindle, we might eventually see a ban on printing literature traditionally and instead, all reading material will be passed through an e-Book publisher.
Before that though, we already see some advantages and disadvantages in traditional printing of books to publishing e-Books. While the main disadvantage of e-Books over paperback is the fact that not all electronic books can be read by the same e-Book reader. This means that you will need to have different e-Book reader devices to support all types of electronic books that are published.
On the other hand, publishing e-Books have many benefits, one of which is the fact that it is an affordable alternative to printing in full color. Some e-Book formats support a full book layout, which can include images that will register beautifully on the screen of the e-Book reader device. It would cost quite a lot to print full colored layouts for traditional hardbound or paperback books. While in publishing e-Books, the full colored image is rendered into the format needed and can be continuously distributed to readers without having to use a single sheet of paper or several liters of ink.
Another benefit to publishing digital books instead of regular print formats is that you allow the reader to store hundreds of thousands of full length electronic books into their handy e-Book reader devices. This way, again, less resources are used and the book's mobility is improved. One can have a whole library in the palm of their hands with one single device that stores and displays published e-Books. Some e-Book reader devices also have provisions for a wonderful library interface to help one store and manage numerous and varied electronic books.
Another addition to its mobility is the e-Book reader's adaptability to any lighting conditions. Publishing e-Books will help the reader to be able to enjoy his or her book even if there is little or no light at all because these reading devices always come with back lit screens. This eliminates the need to a light source which makes the e-Book very adaptable and mobile indeed.
Yet another benefit to publishing e-Books is in giving the content several enhancements. There are some publishers and e-Book reading devices that allow for formats with audio and video components, making the experience of reading e-Books even more special. This is especially helpful for publishing e-Books that are supposed to be for educational purposes.
Through the mixed media component, the reader of the e-Book will experience a learning process that is simply not available through other more traditional mediums of publishing books. If you are looking for a cost effective, environment friendly and versatile format for books then publishing e-Books may be what's right for you. Check out the different methods and publishers for e-Books to know which type would be best for you.

Halo 2, Vol. 1
Further proof that the 15-year-old male is the nexus of contemporary popular entertainment, this anthology of music from and "inspired by" the sequel to the earth-conquering Halo saga also showcases how capably the video game industry can trump even Hollywood's vaunted production values. The original synth-heavy underscore by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori is filled with enough brooding, mock-Goth atmospherics, and pulsing exotica of indeterminate ethnicity to give the Hans Zimmer stable a run for their money, while a slate of (mostly) worthy rock star guest turns give it a welcome edge. Legendary axe-slinger Steve Vai's sinewy riffing punches up the reworked main theme and "Never Surrender," while alt.metal contenders Breaking Benjamin serve up the suitably dramatic inspired-by cut "Blow Me Away." But it's Incubus' four-part "Odyssey" suite that's the centerpiece, bridging 1970s prog and modern rock with its moody aura and evocative musical dramatics. --Jerry McCulley

Customer Review: Seems like a good game
I bought this game at the same time that I bought the JumpStart Toddler game. My son will be 2 in a few months and I thought that he would enjoy the Disney characters. I think that when he gets a little older and his computer skills get a little better he will enjoy these games much more. The only one that we have tried is the Mickey Mouse one. My son got bored fairliy quickly because he needed much more help than he needs with the Jumpstart game. I think that this game would be better for older toddlers.
Customer Review: Fantastic, my first choice as a gift
This is a fantastic set! The favorite disc of the three is "The Book of Pooh," although the Mickey Mouse one is a close second. The activities are really fun, with great graphics and classic pooh-character humor and scripts. It was my daughter's first software at three, and now as a first grader she still loves it. My three-year-old son was able to teach himself the games and how to navigate the menus. He plays with it without needing any help. We loved it so much we give it to friends with toddlers, and when one of our discs was broken, we bought the whole set of three again.

Customer Review: My kids love it
Got this toy for my 6 and 3 year old boys. They play with it all the time. My three year old is pretty small and he has this huge watch on his arm just working the dial. He really digs it. It does not do much but makes noise and my kid loves that. He thinks he is Ben Ten. So, any toy they play with is good. It did not do much for me but I expected more technology for the price.

The Swan Princess II - Escape From Castle Mountain
The Swan Princess II - Escape From Castle Mountain
This straight-to-video sequel to The Swan Princess concerns the kidnapping of Prince Derek's mother, a crime that lures the prince into danger himself. Princess Odette can save him--but only if she becomes a swan herself. Even given the lesser ambitions and budgets afforded direct-to-video sequels, it's hard to accept that this boxy, unexciting movie has the same director (Richard Rich) as the fine, first feature in the series. More like a Saturday-morning cartoon than a real film, this is a disappointment, though kids who couldn't care less about scale might get caught up in the story. --Tom Keogh
Customer Review: Er...
I have to say, the last time that I watched the Swan Princess I was about seven, and I loved it - I liked Odette, though I hated her name, I liked Derek, though again, I thought his parents were probably having issues when they named THAT kid, and i even liked the story - and I was a PICKY kid. Not knowing the Swan Lake was a story in it's own right, with the same characters adn damn near the same plot, I couldn't even deplore the lack of originality displayed.
But this! Oh no!
Heaven forbid Disney come up with a sequel that is, oh, you know, GOOD. And trust me, I've watched them all. (hey, I do have a little cousin...) Mulan II - heaven help me. Aladdin II - heaven help you. Swan Princess II - heaven help the person who wrote it. Cos God knows, no one else should. I mean, quite frankly, the story line is so bad, they might as well leave the writing to Tchaikovsky. And he's dead.
Or whoever it was who wrote 'Swan Lake'.
Which is very good.
Hey, i'll give THAT a good review...
Customer Review: The Beautiful Swan returns
In the second of the three part series of "THE SWAN PRINCESS" "THE ESCAPE OF CASTLE MOUNTAIN" is a good movie, (in my opinion). Most sequals are a disapointment, but not this one, (and they keep the main cast from the 1st movie--which is a BIG PLUS). The singing is great and so are the songs, and the plot and acting is good as well. I think Queen Uberta is funny, (Do not mess with the Queen). Well, if you never seen this movie, I think you should, you will not be disapointed.

There's even interviews with the many of the writers, Spy VS Spy animation video, Spy VS Sky Mountain Dew commercials and much more.
Customer Review: MAD Comic Books 1-23 Look Great!
The image quality of the MAD magazine issues presented in this DVD has been discussed in other reviews. While it is true that many of the scanned images lack clarity and focus, most of the image quality of the first 23 color MAD comic books is outstanding.
I grew up reading these classic comic panels in the Ballantine Books paperback series: "The Mad Reader", "Mad Strikes Back", "Inside Mad", "Utterly Mad and "The Brothers Mad." The biggest problem with the MAD paperback books is that they are in black and white. Now, I own the enter collection of MAD comic books and they are in color.
The artwork of Harvey Kurtzman, Will Elder, Jack Davis, John Severin, Bernard Krigstein, Russ Heath and Basil Wolverton probably looks better on this DVD presentation than it did in the original comic books. Apparently, the artwork from these first 23 issues was either carefully preserved or carefully restored -- maybe both.
While yellowed, crumbling, torn and tattered original copies of the first 23 MAD comic books are routinely offered for sale at prices above $100 each, the entire collection of these 23 MAD classics is available on this DVD for under $35. I also enjoyed seeing the covers and contents of all of the other MAD magazines that I read growing up. I am very glad that I bought this DVD.
By the way, it took me a while to discover that the full search capabilities of the MAD DVD are enabled by the file: (DVD drive letter):\MAD1.pdx. Double-clicking on this file after opening Adobe Reader will enable a search of all issues MAD contained on the DVD.

This means that you will need to have different e-Book reader devices to support all types of electronic books that are published.

book binding For Your Reading PleasureAudiobooks Provide Quality Relevant Content For Affiliate Programs
Affiliate programs have long been very popular for online businesses. But with all of the many programs out there, it can be difficult to narrow your focus and find the right program for your website.
One new affiliate program is gaining in numbers every day and that is selling audio book downloads through niche websites. Audiobook downloads are a great way to monetize your website with relevant content that will be a prefect match to the theme of nearly any website out there.
Recent trends show why audiobooks are such a hot commodity. In 2004, the audiobook industry which was then in the form of cassettes and CD?s was $800 million. By the end of 2005, it is estimated that audio books had become a $2 billion industry. Not many other industries can grow by 150% in one year!
To demonstrate what kind of money can be made in the audiobook industry, consider this: Audible.com, the leading audiobook download company, generated sales of $65 million in 2005 solely from audiobook downloads. Now consider that that is just a scratch in the industry as it is only 3.25% of the total $2 billion dollar audiobook industry.
That means that an astonishing share of 96.75% of the audiobook industry is up for grabs. After understanding those figures, don?t you think that it would be wise if you were one with the foresight to jump on this opportunity?
Now consider this, sales are not going to stop at $2 billion dollars a year. Time management is a skill that more people are trying to master. Because of this, people are looking for ways to make the most of their dead time (driving in car, commuting, jogging, cleaning the house, working out or running errands).
People are discovering that they can listen to audio books, teleseminars, lectures and podcasts while doing other tasks through out the day. Since the selection of audiobooks is not limited to literature, people are happy to listen to self help info, how-to manuals and business books. Audiobooks and spoken word recordings have become the new brain food for the busy on the go multi-taskers around the world.
There are more reasons why audiobook sales are going to continue to soar. Almost all new cars are capable of playing digital audio files. And since nearly 100 million Americans drive to work by themselves each day, and with the amount of time these commuters are stuck in traffic, one can easily see the need for the brain food of audiobooks in this context.
Time is of the essence here. Don?t you think that you want to be one of the first to offer audiobooks that can be downloaded to your websites visitors? You want to be an authority on selling audio book downloads before the trend really takes off.
Another great reason for wanting to sell audio book downloads on your website is that you do not have to do any work. It is a totally hands free system. After signing up as an affiliate, you will be mailed zipped files with your audiobooks ready to be loaded to your site. After loading the files to your website, you will not have to do a thing. All of the back end work and payments will be handled behind the scene so you will not have to dedicate any of your valuable time on such details.
These are high quality audiobooks from the world?s top publishers. The titles are from every genre imaginable. Once you load the files, you will be ready to start making sales from day one.
You will earn a high commission from your audiobook store. You will earn nearly 4 times what the other major online bookstore affiliate programs offer which means that you can generate a much higher stream of income compared to other book or audiobook affiliate programs.

Read And Learn Bible
Read And Learn Bible
Parents and children can deepen their understanding of the Bible by reading Bible stories together. The Read and Learn Bible features stories from the Old and New Testament including: Genesis, Noah and the Flood, Exodus, Daniel in the Lion's Den, The Story of Queen Esther, The Nativity, Jesus the Teacher, Jesus Comes to Jerusalem, and many more.Illustrated in full color with callouts to help deepen the meaning of the stories, and parent pages to help in discussion, this is a Bible that children can share with their parents, and that parents will want to share with their children.
Customer Review: Accurate Bible Stories for Children
Most childrens' Bibles either oversimplify the stories in the Bible, or change them so they are inaccurate. We were looking for something to start teaching our three year old the stories from the Bible and a friend lent us this book. Our son didn't want to stop reading it. We liked it so much for its accuracy yet understandability for younger children that we gave it as Christmas gifts this year to several friends and all our family with young children.
Customer Review: Lovely
We gave this book to a little girl in our church. Before we wrapped it, we started reading it and determined that adults love it too because we couldn't put it down. The colored pictures are fantastic and make you feel like you're right there with the characters. The stories are explained really well. We got our money's worth.
The Kite Runner
The Kite Runner
"Taking us from Afghanistan in the final days of the monarchy to the present, The Kite Runner is the unforgettable, beautifully told story of the friendship between two boys growing up in Kabul. Raised in the same household and sharing the same wet nurse, Amir and Hassan nonetheless grow up in different worlds: Amir is the son of a prominent and wealthy man, while Hassan , the son of Amir's father's servant, is a Hazara, member of a shunned ethnic minority. Their intertwined lives, and their fates, reflect the eventual tragedy of the world around them. When the Soviets invade and Amir and his father flee the country for a new life in California, Amir thinks that he has escaped his past. And yet he cannot leave the memory of Hassan behind him. The Kite Runner is a novel about friendship, betrayal, and the price of loyalty. It is about the bonds between fathers and sons, and the power of their lies. Written against a history that has not been told in fiction before, The Kite Runner describes the rich culture and beauty of a land in the process of being destroyed. But with the devastation, Khaled Hosseini also gives us hope: through the novel's faith in the power of reading and storytelling, and in the possibilities he shows for redemption."
Customer Review: Powerful
Kite Runner is a powerful and very moving story. It seemed a little predictable in parts but it was a wonderful read.
Customer Review: Not an excercise enthusiast, but LOVED The Kite Runner
Shamefully, I am the first to admit that I cannot point to a blank map and name the countries in Europe, Africa or Asia. I walked by this novel several times, and finally gave in to the brouhaha and picked it up. What awaited me was one of the most lyrically written books I have ever encountered. I found myself rationing out pages because I didn't want it to end, but it did - and without disappointment. Hosseini, by trade, is a physician, but I think he proved with this tale of two best friends torn apart by one's jealousy, that he can quit his day job. A bittersweet dichotomy, you will find yourself running to finish the last page and sigh with a satisfaction that rivals no other.

Customer Review: Wonderful DVD
I heard a lot of positive things about this DVD/book from some parent message boards that I frequent and decided that I should check it out too. I was a teeny bit skeptical at first but after trying out the techniques on our newborn daughter I was amazed!!! She is almost 6 weeks old now but will sleep almost all the way through the night and can be calmed down almost immediately with the 5 S's. I recommend this to any and all parents of newborns/infants. I can't wait to graduate to the Toddler series =)
Customer Review: very effective
highly effective, practical advise given - we used it routinely on our first born and it worked like a charm. great for first time parents and now that we have a second one coming, we're reviewing it.
would also suggest the book with the same title. Thank you Dr. Karp!!

Customer Review: Life's a Beach ...George!!
This book and Curious George himself takes me back to a gentler time. A time when I was young and a time when my son was young. He and I LOVE to read all about George's silly mishaps daily.
This book was an automatic favorite because we live in Rhode Island and live at the beach in the summer. So he would always take this book and his george doll down in his bag. These stories are filled with laughter and love, two things a child can't get enough of and there is usually even a good manners lesson taught to George too that they don't soon forget.
So, any of the Curious George series is a winner with our family...and we don't even live near the "man with the yellow hat". lol*
Have fun and make each night a night you read to your child...it's so important. I even read to him in the womb each night. He talked early and certainly knew my voice almost immediately.
A winner any way you look at it. : ) Thank you George.

CONFLICT GLOBAL TERROR

Conflict: Global Storm brings the Conflict series into the 21st century! Take controlof a highly trained, quick response counter terrorist squad in teh near-future. The 21st century will be a global battlefield as you respond to terrorism. Your goal is to shut down their threats to national security before they go too far! New character actions - Vault over objects and walls, climb through windows, rappel from helicopters and utilize zip-lines and ladders Issue entire team or individual soldier orders via an intuitive and rapid control system Online co-op play for up to 4 people, plus split-screen multiplayer
Customer Review: When is the next great Conflict game coming out?
All of my gripes will be under the paragraph so named. I just want to hit the high points of this game first:
1. Mission Diversity: This truly is a reflection of some special operations missions in a war on terrorism. The first two installments in the Conflict series were pretty much just a small A-Team running around the battlefield doing their "traditional" special operations missions. This installment has your team going from a jail-break in Colombia to South Korea and an executive security mission. The final mission is the assault on a nuclear missile base in the Indian Himalayas. This variety shows the fluid character and truly global reach of terrorism and the war against it.
2. Controls: The squad controls are much more simple and intuitive than the other Conflict games. I especially like the ability of a downed soldier being able to call another to heal him/her rather than take control of that soldier or order him/her there with a third soldier. This is great when you have to have a guy covering and need to get two downed soldiers back up. The delay orders are great for assaulting rooms or pieing corners in multiple directions at once. It also aids when you can stealth guys into position and then cut loose on an unsuspecting enemy when all your guys are in place with the click of a button. It is also good to be able to lean and shoot.
3. Graphics: These are the best graphics of the whole conflict series. The Desert Storm installments had bearable graphics but overall they looked cartoonish. Vietnam was getting there and I like the feel of its graphics more for some reason but the Global Terror ones are on par with Rainbow Six or SOCOM. Not as good but on par. Some of the jerkiness has been taken out of soldier movement.
4. AI: The AI is better but not vastly. Your squad's AI seems to have improved little but I note that soldiers will tend to act on their own better. For example, if they are shooting at a guy they just can't hit then they may move into better position to kill him or simply lob a grenade. The enemy AI will flee from grenades and this opens them up to fire when they get out from behind cover.
5. Gripes: They are few and usually to do with storyline rather than gameplay. The gameplay gripes I have are mainly the level of difficulty or additions I want to see in the next game. I also wish they would have brought some things over from Vietnam. I believe that Vietnam was the best game as far as feeling in the storyline, keeping the action quick and constant throughout the maps and I think that all in all it was the most difficult of all the Conflict series.
However, there are singular missions or portions of missions in Global Terror that are rathcheted way up compared to anything in the Vietnam ones. The first few minutes of "Pressure Drop" will test your ability to move your squad around and survive as well as deal out damage and repel attacks. Otherwise you will spend your time healing downed people and getting shot until no one is left to heal anyone. Keep your head on a swivel during this mission. After that it just lets off from there until the very end of the map. This is similar to a lot of missions, which are more realistic to combat; 99% sheer boredom punctuated by 1% sheer terror. I do not mean to say the game is boring but it does seems to follow the big-battle then pick off stragglers then regroup and crossload ammo, medic kits, grenades etc.; then move to next big battle and start all over. Why not have one mission where the whole army comes down on top of you and you have to set up correctly to fight it off like in Desert Storm, Back to Baghdad or Vietnam? To be fair no counter-terrorism unit would want to be caught in that kind of situation but for gamers it is fun. I guess this is keeping with the game's storyline realism.
Also, I miss the vehicles especially the choppers. Nothing beats loading up "Ride of the Valkyries" to your custom soundtrack on the chopper mission in Conflict: Vietnam. Could they not have put a mission with a helicopter in it like in Conflict: Vietnam that was more like the chopper mission in Delta Force: Black Hawk Down? The times you do use vehicles in this game are only setting your whole squad up to get wiped out by hidden tanks, mortar fire, or RPG wielding enemies whom you may miss while sweeping through an area.
I wish they had an option to view the weapons' sights realistically in zoom like on Conflict: Vietnam especially with all the new, authentic weapons in modern armies' inventories. Some things are more "gee whiz" than actually useful; mainly laser sights on weapons. I also wish that they would have the weapons behave more realistically. Case in point: M-16's have longer range and are more accurate at distance than AK-47's but AK's are more powerful. Why then does it take the same amount of body shots to down someone or that they have the same zoom distance? Just a small wish I have. I also wish they would incoporate some sort of throw adjustment on grenades like in most other games of this type.
I also wish that the characters' dialogue in this game was as "colorful" as that in Conflict: Vietnam. The dialogue in that game was the most realistic since the majority of Soldiers/Sailors/Airmen/Marines/Coasties pepper all their speech with profanity. I think I counted only one four-letter word in this whole game. This was probably done to allow more people to buy this game but come on, it's M+ already and I think that bad language is less problematic than graphic violence. Anyway, any game involving combat soldiers should have profanity, if they have any dialogue at all, to be realistic.
When will game makers realize that there are no women in American Army Special Forces units or even CIA direct action teams? I admit putting women in is to be PC and maybe to draw the growing number of female gamers but it takes away from the realism in the storyline. Also, to go with storyline realism, why not use more realistic terror groups? The South Korean missions have you up against terrorists from South Korea. It is more realistic to have North Korean terrorists operating in the south. The drug cartels in the Colombia missions were the most believeable. Also the main enemy in the game has a private army of former German special forces operatives. Most private armies/security companies today are made up of former Spetsznaz(USSR/Russian special forces). Just think about real world intel/organizations for the next game Take2.
If you like the other Conflict series games then you will love this one. I realize that most of my review is devoted to gripes but this is just in hopes that some developer will try to make a great game perfect.
Customer Review: Squad-Based Heaven
is a sqaud-based shooter/wargame. If you played any of the
Desert Storm games before you kind of know what to expect
already. The big difference with this installment of the
series is that the game has made some dramatic improvements
which were needed in the other "Desert Storm" games.
Once again The U.S. Delta Force team is sent on
dangerouse missions to fight global terrorism. The team
consisting of four kick-butt soldiers: Bradley (infantry
soldier), Jones (stealthy) Conner (heavy weapons) and Foley
(the sniper). You'll be sent to a variety of countries and
diffrent terrain types. In the first level, you start in
a P.O.W. camp trying to make your escape, other levels you
fight through jungles, urban (city), deserts, snow fortress,
nuclear reactors and chemicle plants. You can order your
squad to follow, hold position, go to point, attack target,
stealth to point, fire at will, hold fire, heal teammates
and themselves if wounded and to gaurd an assigned target
. The controlling is
excellent, and your soldiers are now able to jump over
small walls, your firing accuracy is more dependant on
your skills instead of auto-aim, your team's A.I. and
enemies are intelligent, now they try to out-flank you,
flush you out with a grenade if you hide too much, charge
in panic or even retreat. So it basically comes down to
your shooting skills and how well you manage your teams
and issue orders in the midst of heavy fire fights. The
levels are fun to play as you try to figure out what's
the best approach to the different areas of the map, in
a way it has a bit of a free-form gameplay to it, which
adds to the replay value. You can sneak up behind
unsuspecting enemies and cut their throats with a knife!
Out of ammo? No problem; just smack them with the butt
of your gun! There's a total of 14 levels and I enjoyed
every single one of them! If you enjoy squad based shooter,
buy this game. I also recommend the, "Rainbow Six",
"Ghost Recon" and "Brute Force". Don't want squad-based
shooter? Want pure action: get the game, "Mercenaries"
Pro:
+excellent controls
+excellent action
+excellent A.I.
+excellent game tutorial
+excellent level designs
+excellent sound effects
+excellent weaponry
+excellent characters
+play co-op with a friend
+play on XBOX LIVE
+adjustable difficulty
+blood splatters
+rag-doll physics
+stealth elements
+characters can peak around corners
+smack enemies with your gun
+a bit of freeform gameplay
Cons:
-weak unlockable stuff
-needs to be more freeform.

My sons love this movie and ask for it to be played over and over. They both love trains and are delighted for a story that integrates Pooh & friends and trains. I only wish it would come out on dvd (we're on our second videotape since the first one wore out with so many viewings).
Customer Review: Son's favorite
This was one of my son's favorites when he was little, now my friend's son loves it. Great stories, especially for boys(there are trains and pirate ships). My only complaint is that they aren't available on dvd.

book binding For Your Reading PleasureAudiobooks Provide Quality Relevant Content For Affiliate Programs

Parents and children can deepen their understanding of the Bible by reading Bible stories together.
Pro:

Customer Review: My 4 year old & 2 year old boys love Cowboy Pooh
My sons love this movie and ask for it to be played over and over. They both love trains and are delighted for a story that integrates Pooh & friends and trains. I only wish it would come out on dvd (we're on our second videotape since the first one wore out with so many viewings).
Customer Review: Son's favorite
This was one of my son's favorites when he was little, now my friend's son loves it. Great stories, especially for boys(there are trains and pirate ships). My only complaint is that they aren't available on dvd.

It is said that most people have one book in them. But not Herb London. There is nothing about this ebulliently brilliant man that can be contained in one binding, a man with his own strong "spine," the core axis around which the hundreds of thousands of pages he writes revolve.
